How to plant Tulsi?
Propagation and Planting
Tulsi aka holly basil can be grown from the seeds.
Place the tulsi seeds on top of the soil, and tamp them for good soil to seed contact, cover the seeds with barely 1/4 inch layer of compost or soil. Mist the seeds with sprayer and place them where they receive warmth, bright shade, and some part morning sun.

Your Tulsi plant has to be kept in a spot that is warm and sunny. Select a table or windowsill which will let the plant get sunlight for at least 6 to 8 hours of indirect and bright sunlight. The cuttings have to be transferred into a pot of soil when the roots start growing. I usually keeps on throwing seeds in the pots from the plant and they regrow on it’s own the next season. I feed cow manure fertilizer to my all herbs plants including Tulsi.
How do you preserve green Tulsi leaves?
Freeze basil whole leaves in these 3 easy steps:
Blanch: Remove the basil leaves from the stem and blanch them in boiling water for 2 seconds.
Ice bath: Transfer the leaves to an ice bath.
Dry & freeze: Dry completely and store in a freezer-safe container, separating the layers with wax or parchment paper.
